This is the Josie. It has come to my attention that Leda was talking some smack about me being a menace. So let me set things straight.
Sure, I get a little excited sometimes. But wouldn’t you? I mean, we are on this crazy grand adventure! There is so much to see and smell! If you ask me, Leda is the one who is crazy for not going crazy! But don’t let her fool you – she goes a little crazy sometimes too!
I have seen squirrels and voles. I have watched these big birds called magpies. I have been walking on all sorts of new trails – high trails, low trails, rocky trails, dirt trails, and sandy trails. What dog would not go a little crazy?
True, I cannot be trusted off leash. When I am off leash I go a little bonsai! Who wouldn’t? There is so much excitement!
But let me tell you about the things that make me an awesome golden girl.
I am totally photogenic! Every picture taken is awesome with me in it! Seriously – it takes papa 10 pictures just to get a half way decent shot of Leda. But me? I give him 10 awesome shots he can hardly choose from!
And I am the best at car rides. Which is really good since we are on this journey. I curl up right on the blankets and pillows mama puts in the backseat for me and I just snooze and snooze until we are at the next exciting place.
And let’s not forget my snuggle skills! I know just how to give big brown puppy eyes and curl into my people and give them love. Between you and me, this is my super secret. It helps them forgive me for my menace moments!
Right now we are in this Canada place. We are staying at the Congdon Campground next to this really big lake.
Papa is trying to catch us some fish for dinner. I am keeping my paws crossed because I would really love a fish fry!
But I do hope papa is careful out there. Apparently, there are a lot of bears around here. People are not even allowed to sleep in tents here, unless they stay inside the electric fence area.
Now that sounds serious.
So I figured I might as well stay inside where it’s safe and enjoy the gorgeous view out the window!
But wouldn’t you know the time came to venture out and explore some trails. Well, I just couldn’t let my people go without protection! So me and Leda Lou grabbed the bear bell and insisted on leading the way.
Thanks to our excellent senses, we did not run into any bears. We were super proud to bring mama and papa back home safe! Yet another reason why I am so awesome.
Hi! We are Josie & Leda - and we are the canines of this castle! We are living the good life with our people. Check out and enjoy our adventures!
