Do you have a fear? Have you ever tried to get rid of your fear?
Those of you who know me, know that I do not care for the rain. Like, at all. Nope. I do not like it.
Back at the old house, if I saw that it was raining, I would not go outside. No thank you. I didn’t care if I went 24 hours without doing business. I would not go out in the rain.
Well, I’m here to tell you that sometimes, you can really surprise yourself. No really, you can. I definitely surprised myself.
We left the Isabel Pass place, and you remember me telling you how sunny and hot it was? Well, not anymore.
We are now in this place called Thompson Pass. We are high up and there are tall mountains all around. Except, you can hardly see them. Because not only are we in the mountains, we are also in the clouds. And it is RAINING.
It has been raining since we got here on Friday. Mama and Papa said that we had to get out – even if it was raining. So that’s what we did.
Out came the rain gear. Not that I really noticed. I was more focused on mama’s day pack. Where she keeps the treats. I made sure she restocked the water and the treats. And off we went.
We went outside and I had a brief moment of panic. Wait! What is this rain? Why am I out here? And then I remembered: Oh yeah! We are going on another adventure! Pssh! I can deal with this little bit of rain.
And you know what? I did. Even though I have never liked the rain, I managed to venture out anyways. And you know what? I had tons of fun!
New trail, new smells, new things to see. There are these cool birds called magpies. They are black and white and really kinda fat if you ask me. And if I had acted like a brat, and refused to come out because of the rain, I would have missed it all.
It just goes to show you how important it is to think positively. Even if there’s a little rain, think positive. Act positive. Be positive. And you know what? I bet you will have a good time.
